Florida and South Carolina have seen a huge rise in people using VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) after new laws were introduced to block access to adult websites without government-approved ID.
Searches for "free VPN" jumped by over 400% in these states at the start of the year, according to Google Trends. Researchers also found a 1,150% increase in demand for VPNs in Florida.
